The Barcelona City Council has chosen the Vectorial® system bus boarder platform by ZICLA made from recycled and recyclable plastic to improve accessibility at bus stops and make them compatible with the bike path. The solution adopted is well suited for two-way roads where pedestrians must cross the bike lane to access the bus. The incorporation of metal ramps requires cyclists to slow down before crossing the pedestrians path.
