| PROJECT NAME: | Temporary relocation of bus stops at Saint-Pierre-des -Corps station. |
| DATE: | January 2025 – January 2027. |
Till January 2027, underground network replacement and renovation works will take place in the buildings surrounding Saint-Pierre-des-Corps train station. This work initiated in January 2025 requires the diversion of bus lines operating in the area.
Project objectives.
The city of Saint-Pierre-des-Corps needed to relocate the bus stops to Avenue de Stalingrad, in front of the train station, to:
- Maintain the continuity of public transport service.
- Provide safe and comfortable conditions for users.
- Free up space around the station during the underground work.
Proposed solution and implementation.
To meet these needs, the city decided to install two Vectorial® bus platforms with island configuration on Avenue de Stalingrad. These platforms will remain in place for two years, serving the bus lines relocated to the area.
The choice of the Vectorial® system was based on two key advantages:
- Its modular design, which allows for quick installation without civil works, as well as easy adaptation to the characteristics of each stop, and to possible relocations during the works.
- The possibility of easily integrating a bus shelter, thereby improving the user experience while waiting for the bus.
Results and evaluation.
The client highlighted the simplicity of implementing the Vectorial® platforms, emphasizing that they provide an efficient and practical solution to the challenges posed by urban works. They also stressed the sense of safety that the system conveys.
At the same time, users appreciated the platforms as a comfortable and accessible solution that facilitates boarding the bus on their daily journeys. They also noted that the aesthetic outcome is positive, as it integrates naturally with the surrounding environment.
