Intercity Transit is a municipal corporation that provides public transportation for people who live and work in Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater and Yelm. Intercity Transit\u2019s mission is to provide and promote public transportation choices that support an accessible, sustainable, livable, healthy and prosperous community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Need and project objectives.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Intercity Transit has launched \u201cThe One\u201d demonstration route in Olympia, WA. This experience will allow bus users to travel between city of Lacey and West Olympia in half the time when riding this route. The buses on this route run every 15 minutes, Monday through Friday, from 5:30 to 9:30 am and 2:30 to 6:30 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe One\u201d connects or provides access to several other Intercity Transit routes. It connects with other transit systems and Intercity Transit bus routes adjacent to the Olympia Transit Center. About 27,000 people live or work within a quarter mile of a \u201cOne Stop\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The proposed solution.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zicla.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/200123_Vectorial-Olympia-Washington.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15673\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As a consequence of the expected increase in the number of passengers on this route, Intercity Transit has implemented Vectorial\u00ae system bus boarder platform at one of its stops to improve the service\u2019s accessibility and comfort for all passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its configuration is as it follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zicla.com\/en\/vectorial-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vectorial\u00ae<\/a> system platform in boarding bulb stop configuration, which is 33 feet long and 9 feet wide. It also features 12 modules with a yellow-colored tactile warning surface to signal the boarding and unboarding areas of the bus stop to make it fully accessible to all its users.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PROJECT NAME: &#8220;The One\u201d demonstration route.
