The new call for applications for the\u00a0Bloomberg Initiative for Cycling Infrastructure (BICI)<\/a>\u00a0opened on June 3rd<\/sup>, Developed in collaboration with\u00a0Bloomberg Philanthropies<\/a>, this global initiative supports cities in designing and implementing safe, high-quality cycling networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To see a real example of how initiatives like this can be translated into urban projects that improve cycling infrastructure, we can look at some of the projects developed in previous editions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In last year\u2019s edition, held in Fortaleza (Brazil), the safety of bike lane users was improved through an intervention that included the installation of Zebra Family\u00ae<\/sup><\/a>cycle lane separators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
