In many cases, buses must perform several maneuvers to pull in close to the sidewalk, which leads to longer bus dwell times, slow traffic flow, and service delays, while also compromising accessibility and safety of users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This issue is more common in complex and dense urban environments, where bus stops are located between parking places or coincide with bike lanes or shared spaces used by different modes of transport. If this problem is not resolved, it will have a negative impact on both the efficiency of the service and the accessibility and safety of bus users.
