Recycling is awesome since you can reclaim a product or a material that is a waste by sending it through the production cycle again to retrieve a new sparkling brand of the product. Nevertheless, turning old stuff or even garbage into a new and useful product is indeed better. Recycling since the early 80’s has inspired creative minds when reuse of old fashioned product emerged to develop more styles of recycling. Creative Recycling emerged as an inspiration from the Provence decorating style. Also known as upcycling, this recycling method is an actual recycling whereby a waste material or trash is converted to be of treasure and great use and where a useless product is transformed into new materials or even products with higher environmental value. Upcycling has benefits of reducing consumption of the new raw material and by so doing it minimises the risks of air pollution, water pollution also reduces energy usage and emission of gasses which causes the greenhouse effect. There is a feeling of reward and fun during upcycling by making things out of trash. Starting to sort out some of the garbage or waste at our homes give us the awareness of how some of the rubbish we produce and dispose of, can actually be curb some and even vital to our environment. Plastics, unlike rubber, are impossible to dispose of, and this makes most of the cans and plastics we eliminate from our homes and businesses end up into water bodies. This calls for a compelling way of making sure these waste products which are less likely degradable are found methods of recycling them to same or different and better products to prevent environmental pollution. Through this upcycling, recycling comes in. There are so many ways in which upcycling has helped to bring trash back to life. Different ways of funny recycling include:
Old bicycle parts turned into impressive chandeliers.
Joe O’Connell together with Blessing Hancock who are artists transformed some salvaged bicycle parts into some spectacular chandeliers. This chandelier has LED light installation which turns a space into a splendid shadow theatre making the underpass look extremely impressive and surreal. This is so amazing.
Old trampoline has been turned into a wigwam swing bed.
Broken and old trampolines has been used to make circular swing bed. Most expensive restaurant and lounge use this swing bed which gives clients and visitors a fun and cosy feeling. Wigman swing beds are either hung from the ceiling or tree branches.
Old and broken piano turned into an aquarium.
Most broken pianos are upcycled into adorable and unique fish tanks. Some even stay playable as electric pianos. Other broken pianos have been recycled and used for decoration as outdoor fountains in cities and big institutions. Old pianos have been transformed to spacious bookshelves for home libraries.
Sea mines are turned into fireplaces and furniture for interior design.
Example of a bombshell furniture made from old sea mine is one of the most bizarre phenomena in Estonia. A range of home furniture has been achieved from these sea mines such as bathroom suites, baby carriage and bath tubs, arm chair and Davenport tables.
Waste paper tubes recycled to make a bridge.
A Japanese architect used funny recycling of papers to make a bridge. He says that he just wanted to show people how paper can be strong and elastic. Despite how fragile the bridge looks, it has been estimated that it can hold to about 20 persons at once.
Broken pipes have been upcycled to make very futuristic flower vases.
Some incredible flower vases has been made from pipes. Broken water pipes that have rusted are reconnected then bend to form lovely and furnished flower vases which have sell expensively more than the price of the primary product. Funny recycling has become a source of income to many personnel who choose to repurpose trash and materials which would have ended up in a landfill giving the second lease of life to new products.
Waste reduction by recycling should be one of the wider efforts in reducing human impacts on the planet and also promote sustainable livelihood since it has a significant impact on climate. Creative ways of transforming waste product to better product are one of the best ways to ensure that our environment is kept clean. Creativity in recycling should be motivated to help bring back trash to life by creating recycling teams and building incentives such as developing reward program to encourage creativity on how waste is reused.
